Frank Lampard has said that he expects to have Christian Pulisic available for Chelsea’s clash against Everton.
“Christian Pulisic had a tiny bit of awareness off the back of the Leeds game on one of his hamstrings but he’s training normally, so we should be as we were,” the Blues head coach said in his pre-match press conference.
Chelsea head into the game at Goodison Park in excellent form – winning eight of their previous 10 fixtures across all competitions – but they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Krasnodar on Tuesday night.
Despite dominating the game at Stamford Bridge, Lampard’s side had to settle for a point but were already safe in the knowledge that a place in the last-16 of the Champions League had already been booked.
As a result, between now and February, the Blues can focus on the Premier League title race – starting with a trip to Merseyside in the late kick-off on Saturday.
The west London outfit face a Toffees side – managed by former boss Carlo Ancelotti – that have suffered a dip in form after a strong start to the season, but did win the corresponding fixture 3-1 last term.
Chelsea will be out for a slice of revenge as they look for the win that would move them to the top of the table, albeit temporarily.
