Lampard have given a new injury update on the squad ahead of our clash with Everton this weekend.
Lampard previously said that Ziyech and Hudson will be out for at least two weeks and today he claimed there’s no serious injuries setback with the rest of the squad aside from these two players who are suffering from a hamstring injury.
Lampard however did also provide not so convinient update on Pulisic. The Chelsea manager claimed Pulisic had an awareness of his previous hamstring injury after the Leeds game but insist it’s nothing serious and should be ready with the rest if the squad.
This is not so positive as too much stress can send Pulisic back to another two or three weeks and with Ziyech already out, it’s a bit of a scare.
Speaking about the current injury situation, Lampard said:
Same as we were in midweek. Hakim Ziyech & Callum we know are out for around a couple of weeks. Christian Pulisic had a tiny bit of awareness off the back of the Leeds game in one of his hamstrings but he’s training normally, so should be as we were.
Focusing on Pulisic injury, Lampard explained:
It’s a work in progress. I don’t want to call this an injury that he had in midweek. If the game had been a different type of game, it may have been one where I would have used him. I just have to find the right way to get the best out of him.
So what do we do with Pulisic this weekend then? Start, bench & use when needed or save him another week? He can still play but just an increased chance he gets injured.
So guys what do you think Lampard should do? Start him, Bench him or Leave out of the squad.
