Chelsea Players Rating and Flop of the match against Wolves

It was another disappointing team performance and some disguting individual performance again and this time against Wolves at the Molineux Stadium.

1. Edouard Mendy

RATING: 5.5

Mendy seems to have lost his clean sheet touch and maybe the defense is letting him down but many feel he could have done better yesterday preventing the second goal.

Unlucky not to have scored his header in the first half but defensively there were some lapses in his part especially in the second goal in which many feels he could have added more pressure on Neto

RATING: 6.0

Good and composed performance from the Brazilian but when you’re 1 goal ahead and you come out to loose the game then it means something was lacking in the defense.

1. Ben Chilwell

RATING: 6.0

Provided the assist for the first goal but failed to deal the pace and counter attacks from Wolves

1. Reece James

RATING: 6.0

Had a strong performance but like Chilwell, he was also lacking defensively and the fact that both of Wolves goals came from his side of the pitch doesn’t say well about his defensive performance.

Did most of the defensive work in the midfield in the absence of Kovacic and was arguably the best Chelsea player on the pitch. Really disappointing that his effort lead to no points for Chelsea.

1. Mason Mount

RATING: 5.5

Agility with no real substance sometimes becomes useless. He showed strength and desire but lacked creativity and the magical touch to support the forward from midfield.

1. Kai Havertz

RATING: 4.5

Just like Mason, Havertz showed to substance on the ball but unlike Mason he also showed no desire on and off the ball. Winning no duels or performing a single successful tackle playing as a Central Midfielder in the game is disgusting. He was simply awful in both attacking and defensive aspect his game against Wolves. No shot, No tackle, No chances created, a game to forget for the German.

1. Timo Werner

RATING: 5.0

Provided nothing to the attack. Awful performance, probably one of his worst in a Chelsea shirt.

1. Christian Pulisic

RATING: 6.5

He was the only attacking threat and creator among all midfielders and wingers. Could have done better tho with his final passes.

1. Oliver Giroud

RATING: 6.5

Got a goal and probably did all he could have before he was taken out. Fair performance from the 34 years old.

Tried to influence the game after he came on but it was hard because Wolves already had all the momentum.

Was unable to influence the game after coming in for Giroud.
