Chelsea defeated West Ham 3-0 with Tammy Abraham scoring the two latter goals.
Frank Lampard decided to pick Tammy Abraham ahead of Olivier Giroud in the starting after after sitting him out for the last three Premier League games.
Giroud is currently in a good form scoring four goals against Sevilla, one against Leeds and another against Wolves even though Chelsea lost the game.
Many expected Lampard to start Giroud in top nine yesterday to probably continue his scoring form but the Chelsea boss gave Tammy the nod instead and the 23 years old did well to deliver by scoring two important goals.
Speaking in his post match interview when asked what prompt the decision to pick Tammy Abraham ahead of Giroud in the West Ham game, Lampard said:
I felt Tammy’s natural ability to run behind would give them a problem in that way.
Tammy now has 20 Premier League goals for Chelsea, making him the youngest Chelsea player to achieve that feature after Eden Hazard.
