Shocking new Covid 19 rule in the FA Cup rule that could see Chelsea lose their match before it’s even played

The FA Cup has developed a new rule based on Covid 19 regulations and this could have a severe impact on the winner of the competition this year.

The the FA could eliminate teams even before they play a single game because of Covid 19

According to Mirror, these rules below would be applied in the competition this year.

All participants clubs are required to undergo the covid 19 tests before the third round ties and if any player is tested positive, he would miss the game. Also if a club is unable to name 14 players in the matchday squad the tie will be postponed.

Now, if this postponed fixture cannot be resolved and played before the fourth round as a result of the affected players being unable to recover on time, the affected team will be eliminated automatically.

Frank Lampard had revealed earlier than some sections of the Chelsea staff tested positive for the virus in the previous round of test held in the Premier League however, no players is infected but this could be scary for the team as some players could have had contact with some of the infection staff.

The Blues face Marecambe be in the third round of the FA Cup and after the first and second round of testing will we have a more understanding about the situation for Chelsea.
