Thomas Tuchel is already enjoying a start of life at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea’s new manager.
The former PSG boss has now recorded three wins and a draw in his first four Premier League games with a 1-2 win against Sheffield United his latest victory.
However, Thomas Tuchel hasn’t started winger Christian Pulisic in any of these games. The American winger has always been introduced from the bench and he has always given a significant impact anytime he comes on including his assist to Marcos Alonso against Burnley.
After those substitute display, many expected Pulisic to be in the starting lineup against Sheffield United last night but Tuchel didn’t even include him to the matchday squad and this caused a bit of questions.
Thomas Tuchel however revealed after the game that Pulisic was absent due to some family issues so wasn’t ready for the game which means it was nothing tactical and could have easily featured if not for that.
Speaking to the media after the win, Tuchel said about Pulisic absence:
Personal (family) issues is the reason for Pulisic’s absence and Silva is aiming to be fit for Southampton but that’s an ‘ambitious’ target.
