Chelsea are reportedly plotting whether to renew their interest in securing the services of Paris Saint-Germain full-back Achraf Hakimi.
The Premier League heavyweights were keen on securing the services of the Morocco international defender from Inter Milan earlier last summer before he decided to move to Parc des Princes.
However, despite playing 41 games in all competitions during 2021-22, it has been reported that the 23-year-old is currently unhappy with life at the French side and could be open to look elsewhere to continue his career.
According to The Athletic, Premier League giants, Chelsea could be prepared to bring in Hakimi as a long-term replacement for Cesar Azpilicueta, who is believed to depart Stamford Bridge.
Reece James would likely retain his spot as first-choice right wing-back under Thomas Tuchel, however, Hakimi would represent world-class cover and competition.
A potential stumbling block is the Blues likely not being prepared to meet the €71m (£60.45m) release clause , which includes add-ons, that Ligue 1 champions shelled out less than a year ago.
Chelsea also plotting summer move for another PSG star Neymar who is believed to be on his way out from French giants ahead of the 2022/23 season.
