Boss OFFICIALLY releases statement about £100M star possibly joining Chelsea in January

West Ham boss David Moyes has ruled out any possibility of Chelsea target Declan Rice leaving in the January transfer window.

Over the past few seasons Declan Rice has developed into one of the best players at the club – and one of the most impressive midfielders that the Premier League has to offer.

He really is the leader at the Hammers and a man that they are hoping to keep at the club for as long as they are possibly too – but that has not stopped speculation regarding his long-term future at the club

Chelsea fc are continuing to be linked with a move for the England International – and it is believed that Rice has already made up his mind about leaving the Hammers after rejecting the clubs massive contract offer

The 23-year-old is said to have refused to extend his West Ham contract which runs until 2024, and whilst the club can extend it by a year, a big-money move looks to be on the cards after Rice publicly expressed his ambition to play in the Champions League during the World Cup.

But any suggestions that he could leave the Hammers during the January window have been put to bed by boss David Moyes

“There will be no chance Declan Rice leaves in this window if that’s what you are talking about,” Moyes swiftly said in his pre-Brentford press conference.
