Chelsea target Marcus Thuram is “100% not going to extend” his current Borussia Monchengladbach contract, expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed.
Having already splashed the cash this transfer window and added the likes of Joao Felix, David Fofana and Andrey Santos to that attack, Chelsea are looking to get some more business done.
Graham Potter is having a terrible time of it with injuries right now with a number of players out for a period of time, and Thuram is a player that the club can get for a reported £9 million.
The 25-year-old has been making a real name for himself over in the Bundesliga – is a full French international and is a player that has the physical attributes to make an impact on the Premier League.
Now, if you believe the words of Romano – he will be leaving Borussia after deciding to not extend his current deal with the club – opening the door for Chelsea to try and seal a transfer move.
“Also in this case it depends on the conditions of the deal,” Romano told GMS.
“Thuram is available as a free agent in the summer because he’s 100% not going to extend the contract with Gladbach.
“So, many clubs are approaching him from Italy, like Inter to sign him as a free agent in the summer.”
