Chelsea were trailing by 2 goals to nil at half time in the London and Lampard responded by taking Timo Werner out and bringing in Callum Hudson Odoi and also Jorginho for Mateo Kovacic.
When asked about Werner’s performance and the reason he took him off at half time, Lampard bluntly said Werner was not offering enough
Lampard on Werner’s performance:
Timo didn’t give us enough with or without the ball. I had to make changes.
Lampard is actually telling the truth. Werner did had a very poor first half performance on and off the ball.
The German recorded two poor first half efforts, another poor first touch for a possible chance and 57.1% passing accuracy.
