Chelsea’s head coach Thomas Tuchel has comfirmed that Thiago will sit out of the Liverpool clash today.

The Former PSG player has been sidelined for about a month now and while he has resumed training, Tuchel feels he isn’t still 100% ready and isn’t willing to risk him against Liverpool today at Anfield.

Chelsea however will be with the rest of the squad except Tammy Abraham who is having problems with his ankle.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of the game, Tuchel said on Injuries:

Callum has no issue at all, he was training with the team yesterday. Thiago had full training with the team but didn’t finish the last exercise. Not because of pain. He is not 100% so he will not join the squad yet. Tammy has problems on his ankle

Tuchel also debunk the rumours that Tammy Abraham was being left out of the squad due to injury, insisting it was just his choice:

It was just a choice. He lacks a little bit of luck, Tammy. Not only in the games but in training. When the last touch comes back, he is a player that we will push forward.

  1. Thanks for the helpful write-up. It is also my opinion that mesothelioma has an really long latency time, which means that the signs of the disease might not exactly emerge until finally 30 to 50 years after the original exposure to asbestos. Pleural mesothelioma, which can be the most common type and affects the area throughout the lungs, may cause shortness of breath, upper body pains, as well as a persistent cough, which may result in coughing up our blood.
