We can now confirm after Thomas Tuchel press conference that Chelsea will be without four of their key players as they welcome Atletico Madrid to Stamford Bridge tonight.
Tuchel comfirmed that Tammy Abraham and Thiago Silva are ruled out of the game due to injuries while we already know Mason Mount and Jorginho are suspended for the game after being booked in the first leg.
Tammy Abraham, Thiago Silva, Mason Mount and Jorginho all comfirmed to miss out on our second leg UCL round of 16 match against Atletico Madrid tonight and as expected it’s a bit worried about their absence in the game as they’re all key players.
When asked if he’s worried about the suspended players in the game, Tuchel said:
A little bit, they are two key players for us (Mount and Jorginho). They have been important so far but we have a group that competes, now is time to adapt and find solutions as we will play without those two guys. We will also be without Thiago Silva and Tammy Abraham.
Chelsea will also be weary of the fact that they might loose Hakim Ziyech and Mateo Kovacic for the Quarter Finals if they should advance tonight ahead of Atletico Madrid as both players are just one booking away from being suspended.
