Chelsea fans have been sending messages to transfer target Erling Haaland.
The Blues are keen to sign a striker this summer and are being linked with Bayer Munich’s Robert Lewandowski as well as Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku and Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic.null
However, the first-choice target is Haaland.
After netting 41 goals in just 41 appearances across all competitions in the season just gone – including 10 in the Champions League – it’s no surprise that Thomas Tuchel wants to add the Norway international to his ranks as this signing would turn Chelsea into genuine Premier League title challengers next season.
Amid a bold claim from Tony Cascarino that the Blues will complete a mind-boggling deal for Haaland this summer, there has been a rather interesting development.
According to reports in Norway, Chelsea’s bid for the 21-year-old is ‘imminent’.
It remains to be seen how much the Blues offer, but it has been widely reported that Dortmund could have their head turned by a bid in the region of £150million.
Prior to the Blues’ imminent bid for Haaland becoming public knowledge, the striker was active on social media as he thanked those who sent his birthday messages earlier in the week.
“21, thank you for the wonderful birthday messages!” he wrote on Twitter.
