Belgium were in World Cup qualifying action on Sunday evening against the Czech Republic.

The Red Devils headed into the tie top of Group E and would extend their lead over 2nd place with a win on Sunday.

And that is exactly what Roberto Martinez and co. did, eventually coming away with a 3-0 win, which included Romelu Lukaku scoring his 67th goal in his 100th cap for Belgium.

Lukaku confirms thigh issue

Lukaku would also receive a yellow card on Sunday, meaning he would miss Belgium’s final outing of the break on Wednesday and instead go and re-join Chelsea ahead of their clash with Aston Villa this weekend:

Whilst Chelsea were likely quite pleased about this, they were probably less thrilled with Lukaku’s comments post-match against the Czech Republic.

When speaking about his plans for the coming days now he is suspended for Belgium, the striker stated he is going to have a scan on his thigh as he is struggling with a minor issue, then he will return to Chelsea:
