Saul Niguez didn’t have his wished Chelsea debut when he played against Aston Villa last week.
The Spaniard continuously lossed possession at dangerous positions which almost cost the team.
Tuchel decided to take him off at half time as Chelsea went on to win the game 3-0.
Thiago Silva also had a Chelsea debut to forget when he first played for Chelsea last season against West Brom.
The Brazilian was at fault for two goals as Chelsea were 3 goals down in the first half.
According to Saul’s debut Thiago Silva offered him some words of encouragement to him striking his own disastrous debut as an instance that it shouldn’t determine the future performances.
What Saul said Thiago Silva told him:
“After my poor performance in my first match Thiago Silva in particular supported me a lot. ‘My first game with Chelsea was much worse, believe me and don’t worry’ he said.”
