Chelsea are currently in the midst of preparations to take on Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

The Blues host the Italian giants at Stamford Bridge aiming to take a huge step towards qualifying for the knockout rounds of the competition and continue the defence of their title.

As it stands, Thomas Tuchel’s men sit second in Group H, with Juve three points clear at the top courtesy of their victory over Chelsea in Turin earlier this season.

Should the Blues avoid back-to-back defeats to the Old Lady, then they will guarantee their place in the next round, with Zenit St Petersburg and Malmo then unable to catch them.

Their task is not set to be easy though, with Max Allegri’s side also understandably keen to secure top spot in the group and of course be the side to do the double over the reigning European champions this season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have also been hit with a few injury developments ahead of the clash.

Whilst the likes of Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic are in contention, Tuchel has confirmed that midfielder Kai Havertz is a doubt for the game at Stamford Bridge, with Romelu Lukaku also still being restricted to the sidelines after the problem he picked up last month.

Talking in his pre-match press conference, the German said: “Not sure yet [Lukaku]. He semed ok in training yesterday, we will see about the reaction. He has an appointment with the doctors and physios. Maybe we can bring 20 players to the squad. The last minutes would be the absolute maximum.

“Jorginho is absolutely OK. Kai had a hamstring problem so we took him off and we have some doubts with him. This is more or less the question mark.”

With that being said, football.london take a look at the full squad that Tuchel has at his disposal ahead of the game if Havertz and Lukaku miss out.
