Chelsea target Jules Kounde has reportedly told Sevilla he wants to leave this summer after the Blues stepped up their chase to sign the defender
Before all the news broke which stopped Chelsea from doing any business, there were many reports in the media that the club had opened up talks with Sevilla about a possible transfer deal for Kounde.
Kounde is a young defender that has been making all the right noises in the game over the past few seasons, and there has been much speculation that all the biggest clubs will make a move when the transfer window officially opens up.
Chelsea may not be able to sign players just yet, but that has not stopped the speculation about the new owners and who they will try and sign in the transfer window, and Kounde is a man that is once again on the lips of many at the club
Now after reports emerged suggesting that Chelsea have stepped up their attempts to sign the player now that Antonio Rudiger is leaving the club, The Mail claims Kounde has informed Sevilla chiefs he wants to join the Blues.
And he is eager to avoid a repeat of last summer’s transfer saga, where Sevilla raised Kounde’s price at the last moment to block a deal.
